In true Sativa spirit, Amnesia XXL Autoflowering is a very sturdy plant that withstands extreme humidity conditions thanks to her large internodal spacing and her thin leaves that improve perspiration. And, on top of that, she’s got all the advantages of autoflowering genetics. Both traits, her resistance to moisture and her fast life cycle, make Amnesia XXL Autoflowering highly suitable for growing in rainy climates where the hot-dry season is not especially long. With her, the likelihood of being affected by botrytis, mould or fungi is substantially reduced.
Best results are obtained with pots of at least 10 L or even of 20 L if you’ve got enough room available. If working with soil, it is paramount you make sure it is well aerated and roots can take up all the nutrients. For that, you’ll have to add 1/3 of coco coir to the substrate.
As for the best irrigation regime, as good autoflowering, Amnesia XXL Autoflowering needs to be irrigated more frequently than a photoperiod strain, but try to make sure the soil doesn’t end up full of standing water.
If you’re cultivating indoors, the most suitable light schedule for your Amnesia XXL Autoflowering would be 20 h of light and 4 hours of darkness during her entire life cycle. Remember that autoflowering genetics don’t depend on the photoperiod and so flower automatically without shifting the light schedule. However, the more hours of light they receive, and the more intense they are, the healthier they’ll grow and the more bountiful their crops will be. That’s why, for outdoors, we recommend doing so during the warmest months of the year.
Concerning the fertilization rates, Amnesia XXL Autoflowering will need more nutrients than other plants, because of her Sativa status. Giving accurate EC and pH figures is very difficult because they are subject to many conditions. However, what we do recommend is providing a slightly higher fertilization than with other strains and varying it little by little until you get the right amount for your plant.
